Advanced PV Code Class

Prerequisite: Basic PV Class

Cost - $ 250 - part of 5 Day Seminar

The Advanced PV Code Class is the result of the changes that occurred in the National Electric Code version 2005 and version 2008. Most of the changes did occur in Article 690 (Photovoltaic Solar Systems). However, there are other changes that occurred in other Articles that have direct bearing on the design and installation of Photovoltaic solar systems. Advanced PV design will cover such topics as circuit requirement, disconnecting means, standard wiring practices, grounding issues, markings or labeling, what the size of the main breaker tells the designer, tapping in before Main, and connections to other energy source. This class is a great Prep Class for NABCEP testing.

2. Conductor Opacity 6. Wiring the Array 10. Line side point of connection

3. Overcurrent protection 7. Wiring from Array to inverter 11. Labeling - Markings

4. Disconnects 8. Inverters 12. Permitting

5 Day Seminar scheduled for 3rd week of January 2011.
